Permanent Makeup Appointment Policy

*PLEASE ALSO READ OUR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS BELOW BEFORE BOOKING*

  1. 72 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment, otherwise you will forfeit your $100 deposit and another will be required at rebook.
  2. We ask that children please not accompany you to your appointment as this is a lengthy service, you must remain still, and your artist remain completely focused throughout the service.
  3. Touch-ups, Perfecting, and Finishing sessions are for returning clients ONLY
  4. If you are unsure if your brows are ready for a touch-up, please book a complimentary touch-up assessment to discuss how to best move forward in enhancing your brows.
  5. If you have previous permanent makeup not done by me either at Sei Bella (pre 2017-2021) or here at BrowDown (2021 - present), you must book a consultation before booking your initial session. If you do not, we may not be able to tattoo over your previous work and you will forfeit your $100 deposit.
  6. Consultations and Initial sessions may not be booked within 48 hours of each other.
  7. Avoid caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen and other blood thinners for 24 hours before your appointment. Bleeding can affect the crispness of your strokes, your pigments ability to bond to the dermis, and may prevent your numbing from taking full effect.

Additional Considerations

  1. Please plan accordingly and keep in mind what events/vacations you may have coming up as you book your appointment.
  2. Discontinue use of brow serums for 4 weeks prior to your permanent brow appointment.
  3. You will need to keep all cleansers, moisturizers, serums, makeup, etc., away from your brow area for the first 10 days following your appointment, and only apply the provided aftercare. This is your initial healing period and is essential to the bonding process that must take place for the pigment to stabilize in the dermis, and avoid compromisation of your healing and color.
  4. You should also avoid profuse sweating, facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, UV rays, swimming, and exfoliants around the brow area for up to 2 weeks after your appointment.
  5. If you normally tint or henna your brows, make sure you do so at least 48 hours before your appointment.
  6. Any brow waxing should be done at least 72 hours before your appointment.
  7. After healing, exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and pigment discoloration. Be sure to ALWAYS apply an SPF of at least 30 to your brows and face, and fully protecting your brows with a hat from prolonged sun exposure is highly recommended.
  8. Open abrasions on the brow area must be fully healed before your permanent brow appointment. If not fully healed, we may need to reschedule your appointment and charges will occur.
  9. Before Lash Enhancement Liner, discontinue lash growth serums for at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
  10. Remove lash extensions prior to your appointment.
  11. No eye makeup should be worn to your lash liner appointment.
  12. If you develop any eye irritations leading up to your appointment, your lash liner appointment may need to be rescheduled. Please let this be known as soon as possible.
  13. If you have ever had a cold sore, you must obtain a prescription for an antiviral and begin taking per doctor's instructions, before, during, and after your lip blushing appointment. Cold sores can develop as a trauma response of lip blushing if you are prone to them, so a prescription is a must. If you are not prone to cold sores, this will not be an issue.
  14. Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments and lip fillers for at least 4 weeks prior to your lip blushing appointment.
